She moved to Norman, in 1962 where she retired from the State of Oklahoma in 1985 after working for 27 years at the Griffin State Memorial Hospital.
Interment will be at Peter Tigers Family Cemetery, in Seminole. Former Seminole resident, age 66, Darrell Adams died Saturday, April 18, 2009, in Shawnee.
Pallbearers will be Marco Carpitcher, Oscar Bunner, Donovan Estrada, Jonas Carpitcher, D. He was born July 30, 1942, in Shawnee, to Roy and Thelma Mae (Harmon) Adams. Adams lived and worked most of his life in the Seminole and Tecumseh areas. On October 23, 1976, he married Harriet Adkisson, in Marthasville, Louisiana.
He worked for Southwestern Bell as a Service Technician for 39 years before retiring in 1995. He is survived by his mother, Charlotte Alderson, of Maud; son, Travis Sean Alderson, of Maud; daughter, Summer Artensia Alderson, of Shawnee; sister, Charlotte Ann Shelley, of Maud; and two grandchildren; He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Joe Alderson, and his wife, Frankie Jo Alderson.
He loved the lake, especially his place at Texoma Lake. He enjoyed the times spent with his family, especially with his grandchildren. Pallbearers are Frankie Walker, Mark Copeland, Billy Freeman, Wichita Blaine, Larry Bear, Fussy Lowery, and Burt Talbear.
Leonard Joe Alderson, Jr., age 58, died Sunday, Jan. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. in Konawa, under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, in Konawa. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Eula Mae Johnson. Thursday, April 23, 2009, at Sand Creek Cemetery, in Cromwell, with Dr. He was a retired maintenance technician at Central State Hospital, in Norman, where he retired after 21 years of public service in 1983.
